Q. What is gynecomastia?
A. Gynecomastia, or gynaecomastia, is the development of abnormally large mammary glands in males resulting in enlarged feminine breasts.
Q. Who suffers from gynecomastia?
A. Approximately 1/3 of the male population suffers from gynecomastia.
Q. How do I get the right size?
A. Refer to the sizing charts and measurements guidelines found here
Q. Are your products guaranteed?
A. Yes! We are so certain that we make the world's most effective compression garment, we absolutely guarantee it. At any time during the use of our Comfortwear products if you or your patients discover a Marena compression garment that has a defect in material, workmanship, or performance we will gladly replace it free of charge. Q. I ordered my garment, but I never received it.
A. We seek extreme satisfaction. If for some reason you did not receive your garment, please contact us right away so that we can locate your package. We use UPS for our shipping to online patients. If you are not home when your package is delivered, UPS drivers have discretion whether or not to leave the package at the door. Other issues that could arise are incorrect or incomplete addresses, or a weather delay. All of these reasons could contribute to a delayed or failed delivery attempt. If in the event that you did not receive your package, simply call us at 770.822.6925 or e-mail us at info@marenagroup.com and someone will promptly take care of you.
Q. What is the difference between first and second stage garments?
A. First stage garments are generally for use right after surgery. They have zippered openings that facilitate putting the garment on and taking it off. Second stage garments are generally for use during the later part of the recovery stage, although they can also be used directly after surgery. They do not have zippered openings and can be pulled on and off. All Comfortwear garments, regardless of the stage, are F5 certified.
Q. How much pressure/compression will I get from your garments?
A. Compression is measured in mmHg (mercury miligrams of pressure). The higher you go, the more pressure you get. Generally, our garments will deliver somewhere between 18-22 mmHg, depending on each patient's body. The compression level of 18-22 should make the garment feel tight against your body, but not so tight that it feels constrictive. It is very important to take your measurements (visit our sizing page under support) to make sure you have the right size, as this will affect the compression levels of the fabric.
Q. Based on how many CCs of fat I am having removed or added, how do I choose a garment and a size?
A. We hear questions similar to these a lot. We are not licensed to give out medical information such as this. We suggest that you contact your physican's office for medical advice.
Q. Can I wear compression garments even if I haven't done any surgery of any kind, just to reduce the inches of my chest and the appearance of my gynecomastia?
A. Yes, you may wear our garments even if you haven't had surgery of any kind. Although our garments will temporarily (while the garment is on) reduce the size of your arms, thighs or calves, we have not yet been able to scientifically prove those results will stay permanent (when the garment is off). We recommend our vests and sleeves (FV and SL styles) for the arms and/or back and our every day shorts and capris (TS1 and TC1 styles) for the thighs and calves.
